We understand he had both Leukemia and bone cancer. Valentin lived in the "Las Flores" area of Maneadero Mexico with his father and brother(s). His mother passed away some time ago. Valentine was very small, like the size of an 11 year old. He was not expected to live beyond 3 years old. Last year Pouring Out Hope was able to give his family a small home which was built by Gracepoint Point Church in Wildomar California with help from Lambs (Lake Elsinore and Murrieta), Abundant Living (Rancho) and Microsoft Employees. Valentin was very funny and put a smile on all of our faces. He knew a very small amount of English and always made funny faces. He would tuck in his ears and push his nose to make them pop back out. He would do this over and over. We would ask him about his village "Las Flores" ..which means "The Flowers". He would respond with "They call it "The Flowers" but there is not a single flower" This is the significance behind of "Una Flor en Las Flores"...because he was |
